LCD – high resolution when viewed up close

LCD offers a very high resolution and crystal-clear text, images and videos – ideal for short viewing distances.

What is a digital shop window display?

A digital shop window display is installed behind a glass front and shows products, special offers, images or videos to passing customers.

How many NITS does an indoor display need?

In standard indoor environments, 700–1,000 nits is usually sufficient. In very bright areas, a higher brightness level may be advisable.

Is 3,000 nits enough for a shop window?

For many brightly lit shop windows and covered walkways, 3,000 nits is very suitable. In direct sunlight and where there is significant glare, greater brightness may be required.

When is LED better than LCD?

LED can offer advantages in conditions of strong sunlight and at greater viewing distances. LCD is particularly suitable for high-resolution content viewed from a short distance.

From what distance is an LED display clearly visible?

Depending on the pixel pitch and display size, LED displays are particularly suitable for viewing distances of around 5–15 metres or more.

Can a shop window display be fitted behind glass?

Yes. The LCD WINDOW is installed behind glass. When doing so, the distance from the glass, ventilation, sunlight exposure and installation conditions must be taken into account.
