2. How much brightness (nits) do I need?

The brightness of a display is measured in nits. The brighter the surroundings, the higher the screen brightness should be.

Indoors

Recommended brightness:
700–1,500 nits

Suitable for:
interiors
Retail space
Restaurants
Reception areas

Semi-outdoor

Recommended brightness:
approx. 3,000 nits

Suitable for:

Covered entrances
Areas with plenty of natural light

Outdoor

Recommended brightness:
4,000–5,000 nits

Suitable for:
Direct sunlight
Forecourts
Road sections
Petrol stations
Restaurants

Rule of thumb
The more daylight and sunlight hits the screen, the higher the brightness should be.

3. What protection class (IP) do I need?

The IP rating indicates the level of protection against water and dust.

IP43

Suitable for:
Covered areas
Passages
Shopping malls
Secure entrance areas

Protection against:
Light rain

Constant rain
Unprotected locations

Rule of thumb
It is not the sun that determines the protection class, but the weather conditions.

7. LCD or LED – what’s the difference?

Most mybow products are based on high-quality LCD technology. LCD is ideal for displaying menus, products, photos and videos, and offers very high image quality.

LED technology is primarily used for very large advertising displays and applications with extremely high brightness requirements.
For most applications in the retail, catering or service sectors, LCD is the ideal solution.
